Products: Nearly Nude Skinny Strap Tank (in Black) and Nearly Nude Round Neck Tank (in white). Available from Ma Mere.

Comments:

I had never considered wearing support garments through my first pregnancy because I didn’t think they were necessary, however, after winning two such products in a Bump Wear Project competition, I can confidently say that they make caring a bump around a lot more comfortable.

I absolutely LOVE the Nearly Nude Skinny Strap Tank. It is so supportive of both my bump and my breasts. It has been great for wearing under summer dresses and shirts and with this heat I have even occasionally worn it as a top. My only criticism of the product is that it would have been good to have some padding in the breast area to conceal nipples however, this didn’t bother me too much.

The Nearly Nude Round Neck Tank has also been great. I’ve been wearing it to bed and my bump has felt totally supported as I’ve tossed and turned to get comfortable. Unlike the Skinny Strap Tank which lifted my breasts because of its design, I found the Round Neck Tank to flatten my breasts (i.e. no jiggle possible) which may be of benefit to larger breasted woman. However, for a gal who is embracing her pregnancy curves, the cup design on this garment was not as flattering for my body and therefore I only ever wore it to bed.

I can also tell that post-delivery these garments will be great for flattening the tummy.

Rating: Two thumbs up, especially given that the garments can be worn during and post pregnancy. 4/5.

I am Bec, a 26 year old stay at home Mummy to Monty with a 25 week bump, due in March. My pre-pregnancy size was a 10/12 and I was asked to review the Isabella Oliver Crepe Pencil skirt, so here goes…

Initially on receiving the skirt I thought ‘work wear’ and that as a Stay At Home – snot and sticky finger dodging – Mum that it would not work for me! But that was exactly why The Bump Wear Project asked me to review it! My challenge was to funk up this skirt to make it something other than work wear. Challenge accepted!

After having a play, teaming up the skirt with other pieces in my wardrobe, I decided I would definitely wear it as evening wear and of course, it would definitely work brilliantly for a working bump rocker as it gives a professional look whilst still stylishly dressing your bump.

The shape is very flattering as is the crepe fabric. In fact, I wasn’t too sure about the skirt until I tried it on. It’s also very versatile – it looks great with long boots, or heels. And it’s really comfortable and has enough room to last an entire pregnancy due to it’s clever elasticated waistband. Thumbs up!

I teamed it with a black and white striped fitted top and wore it under the bump with a wide patent belt and red ballet pumps and it looked really funky, fresh and French – perfect for a meal out or ‘non alcoholic’ drinks!

I would give this skirt a 3 out of 5 but if I was a working Mum then this score would be higher as I woud wear it a lot more. The quality and fit are fab but I have given it this score purely as for the price I would want to get a lot of wear out it and being a SAHM this is not the type of thing I’d wear every day.

So, overall ladies, a good buy for your wardrobe. You can dress it up and down, and work that skirt!!
