Sophie Dahl has been spotted looking gorgeous in the Cowl Neck Ruched Dress from the Isabella Oliver Maternity collection. This stunning dress has the silhouette of their Midi Ruched Dress and a cowl neck for an autumn winter adaptation of a bestseller. It’s cute. 3. This one is an absolute bargain. Just £24.90 from BonPrix. Can’t complain at that price.
4. The Isabella Oliver Maternity Woollen Trench is a wool cashmere that will remain chic year in, year out, and you can wear post pregnancy too. £239 and gorgeous.

Personally, I am a big fan of jumpsuits so I like that I am beginning to see them appear for all you bump rockers…

I’m not normally a big fan of the Mothercare M2B range but they have a M2B Jumpsuit which I adore, in fact, it’s one of my favourites and costs just £40. I suspect it will be a best seller, you if you like, buy now. And of course, our good friends over at ASOS are bang on trend with the short length jumpsuit – a steal at £26. If you have a little of bit of money to splurge, you may like the Isabella Oliver Erin Jumpsuit £169. This one will look fab dressed up for a night out. Next up is the Maternity Jumpsuit from Queenbee, on sale at $49.95 but only left in a size large. I’m not surprised, this one has featured in magazines.

You can wear a biniki and look fabulous when pregnant. Fact. I mean check out how Nicole Richie rocked her bump whilst at the beach. Yes I know she’s a celeb and they all live in that ‘always fabulous’ place we all wish we could access but she’s still rocking that bump. And the secret? Keep it simple. Keep it styled.

Now the great thing about bikinis is that if you’re embracing your bump (and any stretchmarks) enough to wear one, you can probably make do with what you already have … but ladies, so not end up with bulging boobs or back fat hanging over too tight straps. It’s not a good look.

If you’re not ready to do the bikini thing there are options. The one piece, the tankini and, new to me, the pregkini.

THE ONE PIECE

You can get these everywhere. They’re comfortable and forgiving, and you can get some fabulous ones now. Look for those with built in bust support and ruching at the sides and across the stomach that not only gives you space to grow but also looks stylish. Halternecks are great to minimise the boobs but they will draw attention to your clevage. Keep the bottom vut low too as your new body shape will pull the swimsuit up. Nicole’s bottoms have the perfect cut, they are incredibly flattering. Isabella Oliver have a great ruched swimsuit that will be incredibly flattering.

THE TANKINI

Perhaps the best of both worlds? A tankini consist of a long, vest top and bikini shorts. Styles with built in bust support, hipster bottoms and side ruching are best. Empire style tankinis are really stylish and are a life saver if you don’t like to show off the shape of your body, or just prefer something that allows a little more air to circulate around your bump. Personally I am not a fan of the bump slightly showing – I am an all or nothing kind of girl. The top riding up your belly looks like an ill fit – I say rock that bump in full with a bikini, or grab one of the stylish maternity one pieces out there. We’re loving the vintage styled one from Figleaves (who have a great range of swimwear).

THE PREGKINI

Now this whole pregkini thing is new to me, and I’m not liking it. I think it looks like you’re out in your babydoll … but I’ve also not tired one, so would welcome your thoughts on that! So what are they? From what I can gather they are a bikini with an ‘apron’ which clicks on and off so it can double as a regular bikini. Like I said, Im not convinced but that may be because I have not seen one which I would consider wearing, but I think this retro spotted one is possibly the best I’ve seen.

Our favourite Wedding Dresses

Neve ($950) – Taffeta maternity bridal gown with shirred waistline and v-neck. Corset back. A sophisticated and classically styled maternity wedding gown that looks flattering on every shape and size. Love it.

Isabella Oliver Belle Epoque Dress (£399) – This is a best seller and its obvious to see why! You can dress your bump in this soft, fluid dress. Swathe silk chiffon ties around your pregnancy curves. It’s silk chiffon, stretch silk satin bodice with a side zip.

Athena by Tiffany Rose (£359) – Pure silk satin and floating chiffon, it’s soft, feminine, very flattering and, dare we say it, seductive. The hand-pleated bodice in delicate ivory chiffon provides elegant detail to an understated look. A contrasting ivory satin sash with full length ties creates a fabulous finish as well as enhancing a flattering silhouette.

White Orchid by Tiffany Rose (£235) – This one has been voted by Marie Claire as one of their 10 best maternity wedding dresses. It has a gently curved v-neck bodice carefully designed to create a stunning and flattering neckline and sheer 3/4 length lace sleeves with scalloped edging. It’s very romantic.

The Audrey Dress (£179.00) – Another one from Isbella Oliver (well they do do maternity well!). This one is beautifully drapped and very A List. Perhaps a little more unforgiving if you’ve a few lumps and bumps though…

Bari Jay 815 ($158) – Although officially a bridesmaid dress, we think this ones works beautifully as a maternity dress. And it’s a bargain.

One final note from us, any seemstress worth hiring, will be able to alter any dress (within reason) to accommodate your bump and will definetly be able to advise you
