Working down, treat yourself to some brown leather – yes leather – wedge boots from New Look for £79.99. And as it’s a little chilly at the moment, how about a blue maternity jacket from Zalanda? £75. Nice outfit!

Obviously, all that’s missing is a little bit of accessorising. I’ll leave that to you … but would suggest some nice earrings, manicured nails and a big smile.

Red Herring Maternity

The Red Herring Maternity range is looking great this season. We’ve just been working through the collection over at Debenhams and our favourites include the grey marl scoop jumper (£22), and for a bit of glamour, the black pearl embellished tunic (£35) and I personally love the look of the grey military wrap cardigan (£25). Great items, great prices. All that’s missing is a bit of colour.

Our top picks...

Trend Alert – Military jackets and coats are EVERYWHERE this winter. If you’re looking for a cheap alternative, pop to Primark and check out the range they have. They’re more jacket than coat and do make sure you stay well away from  the shiny polyester ones, but some of the others are great. Depending on the size of your bump, you may need to accept that they wont do up, but with a long scarf wrapped round and left slightly trailing they’re definitely worth checking out. You can keep the bump warm with a BumpBand – and for £20 or there about, who cares?!
