Behind the Scenes: Mamas & Papas
I’m Claire and I work in the PR team at Mamas & Papas. I’m really excited to be able to show the readers of The Bump Wear Project behind the scenes at one of our maternity shoots. Here at Mamas & Papas, we love fashion so in our Head Office in Huddersfield we have a team of talented designers and buyers, who work so hard to make sure the clothes fit perfectly, are fashion forward and fantastic quality.
Our new ‘Love Life’ marketing campaign influenced our new style of imagery and we enlisted the help of photographer Helen and stylist Oriella to get the perfect look. We also have an enthusiastic in-house creative and marketing team who translate the mood boards and inspirations from the designers into beautiful lifestyle shots on location. These images truly bring the clothes to life, and capture the essence of our brand inspiring expectant mums with their maternity wardrobe.
On day one we travelled to Hammerwood Park in Sussex to shoot with gorgeous Lauren (you might recognise her as a previous winner of Britain’s Next Top Model) who wore the Rock Baroque collection (my favourite!). Its inspired by modern day rock aristocracy, mixing vintage style pieces with dark luxurious fabrics and heaps of embellishments. Our hair and make up artist Rebecca piled on the black eye liner and gave her loose wavy hair.
The second day was for our Cocoon collection which is all about cosy knits (this is why we love winter!) which give a sophisticated yet simplistic look. The house was in Walnuts farm in Sussex which was gorgeous and the owners has a lovely dog affectionately called Bunnie….our Senior Marketing Manager Jennie, loved her so much that she added her into the shoot! Gorgeous model Anya received a golden glow from Rebecca, but apart from that, the look was natural.
Romantic Folk was last but definitely not least! This collection is dreamy and feminine which uses hazy floral prints and vintage ruffles and lace for a folkloric feel. The team went out to the great outdoors to shoot with stunning model Clare who worked alongside the local wildlife! A beautiful horse called Noodle (great name!) looked every inch the star with his glossy looks! The team even encountered a few chickens on this shoot!
The creative team have been busy creating look books, catalogues and web banners with the amazing images…so make sure you have a look in our stores and on our website! Keep up to date with all our latest news (including celeb gossip) by following us on twitter.com/mamasandpapas
We hope you enjoyed this behind the scenes look at our maternity photo shoot as much as we enjoyed making it!
