Lavish & Loved by Heidi Klum
Lavish is a collection of 17 pieces for A Pea in the Pod and Loved, is a slightly smaller (13 piece) collection for Motherhood. Basically, two ranges aimed at both ends of the market – although we think both are good value. With this in mind, we have been looking at the collection for the past couple of weeks before we came to you with our thoughts. Why? Well firstly, we weren’t sure what was so special about the ranges. Okay, the celebrity endorsement, great, but there’s quite a few of them these days … we were only discussing the Denise Van Outen’s collaboration the other day. Heidi Klum has always looked fabulous whilst pregnant that’s for sure, remember what she looked like at the Emmys last year but that doesn’t make her the next Coco Channel?!
So lets start with Lavish. First off, we love the Sleeveless Scoop Neck Mock Layer Maternity Tank Top, it’s very us, we’re very into the layered look. Cute at $68. And we’re loving the Denim Leggings especially as they’re high at the back and low at the front. We’re hoping to get our grubby paws on a pair of those, so we’ll let you know what they’re like in the flesh. We’re also excited to see some Leather Maternity Trousers in the collection too. I have been hunting for a pair of these forever, and I think these are perhaps the only ones that exist!
As for Loved, we like the look of the Slim Leg Maternity Jeans as well as the 3/4 Sleeve Boat Neck Sleeve Detail Maternity Top and the Vests are okay, I mean, they’re a vest. You can’t really go wrong.
But we are absolutism hating the Home To The Hospital Tote Bag … although the bag itself is okay, the contents are dire. I’m sorry Heidi, but really?! I’m sure she didn’t have much to do with that. That T-Shirt is awful.
So all in all, a little disappointing. I’m sure the Heidi Klum collection wont fly of the shelves like the original Nicole Richie collection did. But we will see.
So what do you think? Would you wear leather trousers? Or wear that t-shirt? Or are we just being a tad harsh?
