Three years ago Sabina Melarti and Valerie Darragh, as new mums decided they needed feminine, alluring, audacious and stylish shaping pregnancy support garments so they launched BLANQI. I spotted BLANQI via our Twitter account, and immediately got in touch as I wanted to know more!

I’m a big fan of a little help, and know that when you’re pregnant, you still get lumps and bumps where you don’t want them. What I like is that as your baby grows, the super stretchy, velvety smooth belly panel comfortable expands without restriction. Like that. Click on the image to see all the features.

I recommend you pop over to BLANQI and have a look at both their regular and long versions. You can buy them direct for $68.

It looks great as a pregnancy coat, and I really like it as a coat post baby. I’m loving the funnel neck.

The coat is made from quality tweeds and wool mixes, with detailing in the form of long zippers and chunky buttons. Quality wise, it’s lovely. One design outfit to keep an eye on!

Following on from our post, The Red Edition, we’ve been out hunting yet more fabulousness. This time it’s all about hearts. Awwwww. We’re keeping it cool though, this is a tat free zone, although we do do slushy quite well. That’s allowed, right?

First up is the cream maternity t-shirt from Dorothy Perkins. Easy to style as this fit goes with most styles of jeans and footwear, through on some accessories and you really are good to go and only £16. Next is the Maternity heart print blouse with contrast pussy-bow, short frilled sleeves and tie fastening waist belt from George at Asda just £12. Don’t be tempted to wear with leggings. Think pencil skirt. This post is running a little light on the clothing side, mainly because a lot of heart clothing is based on slogans. And I don’t do slogans. Sorry.

So…

Now if you’re a little bit geeky, or just like to be a little bit different – you’re bound to love this Lego heart necklace. Etsy seller MoLgifts will sell you one for just over £6. Bargain. Or if she’s always on twitter how about this ever so sweet tweet charm which has a 18ct gold plated heart shape wing. £25 from Chambers & Beau.

If it’s an achy back that’s the problem, why not get this lovely little hot water bottle. £16.99 from Not on the High Street. Bonus points for being thoughtful. Or perhaps a Vivienne Westwood heart and orb embossed leather cross body bag. Nice and not a bad price either £119 from Sunday Best.

And finally, don’t forget that bump. How about getting a little bib and showing a little bump love. These divine bibs (I have seen them in the flesh) are an absolute steal. You can grab one for £6 from Big Bird’s Boutique on Etsy. It will be a great addition to any maternity wardrobe as it’s such a versatile piece. It will look just as great as a lounger with jeans, or smartened up with a pencil skirt and heels. Okay, if heels aren’t working for you, pumps. Either which. It’s a soft mix which includes mohair which will give it the feel of luxury.

I am also liking this as it will be great post baby too, a great little wrap cover up should you be breastfeeding. It’s a great item. And it’s on sale. Currently 25% off and down to a couple of pence over £63.
