When I registered and started this site, I also registered a couple of domains knowing in the back of my head I would start the Baby Wear Project …. after a skype convo with my buddy Sian and a couple of nights of designing, the Baby Wear Project became the Kids Wear Project and I am delighted to be able to tell you the site is now live!

Sporty Bump

Exercise during pregnancy is good for you and your soul. And if you don’t believe me, just read what the NHS has to say about it: The more active and fit you are during pregnancy, the easier it will be for you to adapt to your changing shape and weight gain. It will also help you to cope with labour and get back into shape after the birth. See told you! On a serious note, do please read the NHS guidelines on pregnancy, as there are a few things you should avoid.

If like me, when you work out, you feel the urge to buy all the gear … well during pregnancy you have every excuse, because your growing bump shouldn’t be squeezed in to ill fitting joggers, and those big boobs will need some extra support.

Amoralia Maternity & Breastfeeding Lingerie

Feeling good makes you look good, and a great set of lingerie will definitely help with that. So when I spotted these two sets, amongst lots of other loveliness, over at Amoralia I had to tell you about them.

On the left is Tutti Frutti, the bra has supportive laminated microfibre cups with soft, stretchy embroidery means the bra will adapt to your changing shape. It has plastic clips that open one-handed for easy feeding and 6 row hook and eye to ensure long-lasting wear. The pants are cut low under your bump for comfort but have generous coverage at back. They cost £35 and £18 respectively. Also available in a slate colour.

On the right we have Cupcake, same features and the same cost. This is perhaps my favourite set on the site, and is available in four colourways.

You may also want to check out Nougatine, because if Kelly Preston, Sam Cameron, Rachel Weisz and Karen Elson have given it the nod, and it’s a winner of Junior Pregnancy & Baby’s best nursing bra, it must be doing something right!

Alessandra Ambrosio Pregnant Catwalk

Doesn’t she look fabulous! 5 months pregnant Alessandra Ambrosio hit the catwalk for Colcci at Sao Paulo Fashion Week looking stunning.

She wore non maternity outfits which clearly worked for her bump.

Jealous? Me. Never.

BLANQI Body Stylers

Three years ago Sabina Melarti and Valerie Darragh, as new mums decided they needed feminine, alluring, audacious and stylish shaping pregnancy support garments so they launched BLANQI. I spotted BLANQI via our Twitter account, and immediately got in touch as I wanted to know more!

I’m a big fan of a little help, and know that when you’re pregnant, you still get lumps and bumps where you don’t want them. What I like is that as your baby grows, the super stretchy, velvety smooth belly panel comfortable expands without restriction. Like that.

DIY Divas – DIY Maternity Dress

I am loving this dress. I am loving the simplicity of it, but also the use of a t-shirt. I suspect that makes it cheap and easy to make.

According to the instructions over at DIY Divas, you just need about 2 yards of fabric and one t-shirt. Happy days. And do let me know how you get on if you give it a go.

The 308 Coat for Pregnancy & Beyond

I have been sent a 308 coat to pass my expert *cough* eye over. It’s from new designers Clark & Gray and what I am liking about it, is it goes beyond pregnancy, so you’re not spending money on a coat for just your pregnancy period. It looks great as a pregnancy coat, and I really like it as a coat post baby. I’m loving the funnel neck.

The coat is made from quality tweeds and wool mixes, with detailing in the form of long zippers and chunky buttons. Quality wise, it’s lovely. One design outfit to keep an eye on!

Rockit Vintage Maternity

I have said before how difficult it is to find vintage maternity clothing, and that hasn’t changed. So when I do find somewhere that is selling, I do get ever so excited. Let me introduce Rockit to you. Vintage seller, with a small but nice vintage maternity section. They have dungarees and playsuits which are only £17 each in the sale, and some other bits too.

This stuff doesn’t come up very often, so when it does, it’s so worth buying.
