This week saw the launch of the M2b range for Mothercare. ‘One new label – 9 months of must have style’. What a statement… so off we went to check out the range, with high hopes.
The range is huge… over 60 pairs of trousers and 100 tops. So you’d think there would be quite a few items in there we would love. Wrong. In fact, we are thoroughly disappointed. With a range much bigger than ASOS and River Island, you’d think they would cater for everyone and have a few pieces in there which were a little more statement and fresh, but in our opinion it’s a very boring and conservative range.
So what would we pick? To be honest, we can’t find 10 things we like. We could fill our shopping basket with base pieces (you know, vests, leggings and the like) but that’s not our style. So this is what we have selected:
- Check Pinny Dress – Great for layering so should last a few seasons in your work wardrobe – £35
- Graphic Print Blouse – Navy and mustard smart sleeveless blouse with graphic floral print – £25
- Teal Flower Print Tunic – This is our favourite piece in the whole collection – £28

Our picks from the M2b at Mothercare collection
Oh dear.
Price wise – the collection is comparable to all the other high street collections. But we would go elsewhere.
Size wise - the collection goes from a size 8 to a size 20 … so the range caters slightly more for the fuller figure than some of the other ranges.
So I’m sorry, Mothercare, but you don’t get the The Bump Wear Project’s seal of approval. You must try harder.
Readers – what do you think? Check out the collection, and let us know. Are we missing something …. anything?

I agree with you. The whole lot is rubbish but I think the nightware is okay
Was this collection only launched this week? I got that navy print top about 6-8weeks ago!!!
Its ok – nice enough, but its too loose around the booby area so it just makes me look chubby instead of preggers
I got an email newsletter thing this week saying this range was ‘launched today’
Yep – it said launched this week as per the email Janey mentions. The top is indicated as being part of the M2b range!
Odd.
I went in to MC today & your right. its rubbish but I do love their kiddies clothes!
Agreed. I love some of Myleene Class’ range. Some of it is adorable. And Mothercare also stock a range of Stokke items which we also adore: http://bit.ly/6K0n4
