You know what we love about the ASOS – the website. It’s so easy to use and our thing is, regardless of whether you are pregnant or not, is that you can ‘view the catwalk’. For almost every item you can see a little video of someone walking in that item of clothing. It’s fab. It means you can see how it hangs, how short it is, what the movement is like etc. All very important aspects of shopping online. We love it.
Anyway, back to the maternity collection. As you’d expect from ASOS, the collection is varied. It includes everything from vests to jeans to maxi dresses and boyfriend jackets. And that’s where we will start with our top picks, things which we would put in our shopping basket:
- The Boyfriend Blazer – I adore this little number. It’s so versatile. Dress it up or down and it will last throughout your pregnancy. I want. I want a lot. £50
- Chiffon Corsage Babydoll Dress – So cute, and also available in purple. £38
- Three Quarter Sleeve Boyfriend Cardigan – Perfect for now it’s starting to get cooler. And a steal at £25
- Exclusive Black Ruched Wrap Bust Dress – Everyone needs a LBD in their wardrobe (and this isn’t too little!). £30
- Kate Jegging in Indigo – Is it a jean? No. Is it a legging? No! It’s a jegging. £28
- Exclusive Soft Touch Scoop Vest in Black – You need this as a base layer for lots of other outfits. £8
- Cut-About Stripe Off-The-Shoulder Jersey Dress – For those nights out. At only £24, it would be rude not too!
- Belted Waterfall Cardigan – We know some of you hate waterfall cardigans, BUT we love this one. Wear it with fitted or skinny bottoms to elongate your profile. £30

Our picks from the ASOS maternity collection
We are disappointed in only one thing – the lack of colour. We would have liked to have seen a little more colour in the collection
Price wise – the collection is comparable to all the over high street collections.
Size wise - the collection goes from a size 8 to a size 18 … so if you have a fuller figure you will need to look elsewhere.
So all in all, we give ASOS The Bump Wear Project’s seal of approval. You can check out the full range now and once you have, let us know what you think in the comments box below. Do you agree with our choices? Or are there other items you would spend your hard earned cash on?
ps. Do you remember our Trend Alert: Stripes post? Well, just to show how bang on we are, the ASOS collection has no less than 8 stripey garments! Oh yes, stick with us!

(Almost) enough to make us want to be pregnant again. We’re also fans of Mamas & Papas ‘rock chick’ and ‘poet’ collections – http://tinyurl.com/msnrgj
It’s not as nice though is it…:)
I think I ahve to agree with you. I love the blazer too!
That blazer should be winging its way to me as we speak
Thanks for the link. We will be checking the range out and letting you know what we think soon!
You can let ASOS know what you think too, see: http://community.asos.com/post-details-forum/?contentid=8404955765750376908
Just followed this link from Facebook. Nice post! Now subscribing. Love your picks.
Loving the clothes, especially the waterfall cardy, so pleased I picked up a couple at Primark on my last visit over at £10 each they will be a staple for my pregnancy wardrobe.
There is an award over at mine for you too.
Ohh do send us a pic in with them on. We can add you to our Best Dressed Bumps section.
[...] labels you’d like to shout about? Right now we love quite a few bits from the ASOS collection. It’s cheap and frump free. We also love a lot of the underwear collections – [...]
Word of warning – some of the items do run small.
I ordered the breton stripe t-shirt in a size 10 Maternity and I swear its not even maternity – they’ve just stuck that label on it! Its waaaay too tight and I still have 10 weeks to go. Its a shame as its a lovely top.
I got a few tops similar to it from Zara normal range and am ten times happier with them
What does anyone else think about this?
It is nice to see that there is such a range of clothes available for pregnant women. Appearance can really affect your confidence so this is definitely a step in the right direction, though admittedly comfort should be paramount during this time period.
oh so glad i found you, my Wife is due soon and we have a perty coming up she doesnt feel comfortable going to due to lack of clothing to suit her condition, thenkyou, i can now surprise her with a new outfit from here and both enjoy the party and her beautiful shape with one of your outfits!
Many thanks
Nice but seen better on my site
