Project Runway does Maternity
Did you tune in to Project Runways Maternity episode?
” The designers were asked to create an outfit for then-pregnant Rebecca Romijn, who is now the mommy of twin girls. The bulging belly was an obstacle for most of the designers, and it showed in their creations. Shirin’s red draped dress and coat ended up winning for being the most wearable, but there were a few other looks worthy of the win… ” – source: Fab Sugar
We’ve been through the photo gallery. Some of the outfits are fab, some are foul and a few are just boring!
The winning and perhaps most fabulous design belonged to Shirin who created a stunning plum-colored dress and a jacket with contrasting patterned lining. We LOVE the jacket (pictured).
The loser was Ra’mon. I personally don’t think Ra’mon’s design was the worse – it’s very urban, and has a All Saints feel to it, perhaps lost on the Judges?!

That jacket is lovely, and the dress too. the contrast really works.
I like Micthells design, even though everyone else hates it! I would wear that not pregnant!
I love the jacket and dress–wish I could buy it!! I also liked Mitchell’s outfit.
I personally would never wear Epperson’s pant outfit, but it does look nice. I guess my least fav is Malvin’s (even though it’s not even that bad) because it really does look like a sling wrap, like she’s wearing a baby!
You’re right, the more you look at it, the more it looks like a sling!
I too like Mitchell’s outfit …
